In Italy the Government (in 2019) reports about <strong>32,000 premature infants a year<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salute.gov.it\/portale\/news\/p3_2_1_1_1.jsp?lingua=italiano&amp;menu=notizie&amp;p=dalministero&amp;id=3965#:~:text=Ministero%20della%20Salute&amp;text=Il%207%25%20del%20totale%20dei,gestazionale%20(dati%20Cedap%202016)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">7% of the total number of births in our country<\/a>. Those data are relevant to understand how prematurity is an aspect to consider and at the same time a great challenge for neonatology. Because it requires high-level technological and human solutions. Premature birth is an unpredictable event and besides the closure of several birth centers in Italy. It becomes clear that the difference is made by the rescuers and the equipment at their disposal. You need: expertise, skills and dedicated equipment.<br>The standard ambulance equipment of is not suitable for incubators, in the case of neonatal transport. This was strongly stated by the <strong>ambulance drivers associated with AASI<\/strong> (Association of Italian Rescue Drivers), on the occasion of the <strong>world prematurity day<\/strong> (November 17).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The shock-absorbing stretcher-supports for infants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><br>It becomes fundamental to consider premature babies during transport with the highest deal of \u201cdelicacy\u201d and \u201ctact\u201d. In this case the vehicle has a role of primary importance: the stretcher-support must ensure the comfort and safety that the vehicle structure and the road conditions cannot ensure to the child, just think of our road conditions, with bumps, holes etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are talking about <strong>shock-absorbing stretcher supports<\/strong>, not yet enough known on and on-board rescue vehicles. This type of device contributes to reduce the effects of vibrations and stress due to the uneven ground, making it ideal for delicate transports, such as neonatal and poly-trauma patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class='avia-iframe-wrap'><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Clinical data on the use of the shock-absorbing stretcher supports in neonatal transport\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cTblPA_7diE?list=PLQveCnwY0CYhzXfx9faqiTrOMS0JdbUNH\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AASI, two petitions were submitted to the Government<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In this context we find two <strong>parliamentary petitions<\/strong> submitted by <strong>AASI<\/strong>, the <strong>Italian Rescue Driver Association<\/strong>, during the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/World_Prematurity_Day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">World Prematurity Day<\/a><\/strong> (November 17). The objective is to make the installation of shock-absorbing stretcher supports for incubator mandatory, providing a safe, efficient and proper neonatal transport.<br>A step forward towards the solution of an urgent matter which cannot be postponed anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Neonatal Transport Service for infants by Stem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In case of a delicate transport, such as the STEN (Neonatal Transport Service), proper ambulance equipment is important and a key aspect.
